CASA of Jefferson County is facing a new challenge due to COVID. First, child abuse rose during the pandemic and the abuse of vulnerable children who are returning to school is now being discovered. This results in CASA of Jefferson County being appointed to more cases. But we need more volunteers and manpower to keep up. This is where YOU come in!

Secondly, criminal court cases have been delayed due to the pandemic and the court fees that fund our major revenue source (the Victims of Crime Act Fund) have gone down dramatically. Leaving CASA of Jefferson County with a deficit of up to $16,000 which would result in our children who are most vulnerable without an advocate or voice.

With YOUR help in reducing this funding gap, we can continue to advocate for as many children as we would like. Giving the most vulnerable children an advocate and voice both in the courtroom and the community.
